A shared SSL certificate is a SSL that is tied to one of WebNow’s domain names and is then shared to more than one customer. From a security point of view there is no difference between a shared and a dedicated – content is still encrypted as with a dedicated SSL. The major disadvantage is that when somebody wants to verify the certificate they will see that it belongs to WebNow and not specifically to your business – in most cases this should not be a problem but in others it could be.
Pricing for a shared SSL is R650 per annum – it can also be rented monthly for R65 a month.
